NextCheck Privacy Policy
Effective date: July 13, 2026
NextCheck ("the app") is a personal budgeting service operated by Jeramey Beck ("we," "us"), available as an iPhone and iPad app and as a web app you can use in your browser. This policy explains what information the app collects, how it is used, and the choices you have.
What we collect
Account information. When you create an account we collect your email address. If you sign in with Google or Apple, we receive the name and email address those providers share with us. We never see your Google or Apple password.
Financial data you enter. NextCheck stores the budgeting information you type into the app: bills, paycheck amounts, pay schedules, credit card charges and payments, savings entries, and related notes. NextCheck does not connect to your bank. It has no access to your bank accounts, card networks, or credit reports — everything in the app is data you entered yourself.
Purchase information. If you subscribe to NextCheck Pro, the purchase is processed entirely by Apple. We receive subscription status (active/expired) but never your payment details.
What we don't collect
- No bank or financial institution connections
- No advertising identifiers, and no ads
- No location data
- No contacts, photos, or other device content
- No analytics or behavioral tracking
How your data is stored
Your data is stored in Google Firebase (Cloud Firestore), secured so that each account can only access its own data. Data is encrypted in transit (TLS) and at rest on Google's infrastructure. A local copy is cached on your device, protected by iOS device encryption. If you enable the app-lock feature, opening the app additionally requires Face ID, Touch ID, or your device passcode; biometric data never leaves your device and is never visible to us.
How your data is used
Solely to provide the app's functionality: syncing your budget between your devices and showing it back to you. We do not sell your data, share it with advertisers, or use it for any purpose other than operating NextCheck.
Service providers
We rely on these processors to run the app:
- Google Firebase (authentication and database hosting)
- Apple (sign-in with Apple, subscription billing)
- Google (sign-in with Google)
- RevenueCat (subscription status management; receives anonymous purchase receipts, never your financial entries)
Deleting your data
You can permanently delete your account and all associated data at any time from Settings → Delete Account inside the app. This erases your data from our servers immediately and cannot be undone. You may also email us (below) to request deletion.
Children
NextCheck is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them.
Changes
If this policy changes materially, we will update the effective date above and note the change in the app's release notes.
